I have been teaching for eighteen years. Teaching primary students is my passion! My strength as a teacher is creating creative lessons that will keep children's minds engaged, and little hands busy! I love offering teachers lessons that they are excited to teach! I am currently teaching first grade, and loving every minute!
I love teaching thematically. I focus my instruction on hands-on learning that is cross-curricular. We must use our precious teaching time as efficiently as possible. Differentiation is very much a part of my teaching style. I believe that you can't teach children that you don't know! Great teaching starts with building great relationships!
I have taught third year teachers differentiation for nine years as a part of my district's third year training team. I have been trained as an ER&D Beginning Reading Instructor.
I have a bachelors degree in elementary education with a reading endorsement. My masters degree is in instruction and curriculum development.
I love teaching! When I am not teaching or working on fun lessons, I enjoy biking, cooking, and spending time with friends and family!
