ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

The Facilitator of "Aha" Moments was born ten years ago when a little boy who will always have a warm place in my heart learned how to identify the verb, subject, and predicate of a sentence. This little boy had a storm of disabilities and as a result had significant learning gaps. One day he refused to go to P.E. and asked if he could stay with me during my planning. I said that I'd love to have him stay and keep me company if he let me teach him the day's grammar lesson for a few minutes and he agreed. After a few minutes of teaching him sentence structure, he pulled that day's assignment away from me and completed the first two items and then pushed the paper back to me. I proceeded to check his paper and said "You did it! Your answers are right!" and he replied "AHA! Now I get it!"
