Hello Folks! I have 5 years teaching in the Intermediate and Senior divisions but have also engaged with students at all grade levels through my various club and school initiatives. I am also qualified to teach ALL grade levels from the Primary to the Senior division.
My teaching style is very student centered. As such, I like to make my lessons simple for students to understand as well as practical with a focus on action oriented approaches, authentic tasks, and inquiry based learning. I also love using technology to enhance student understanding and learning in my classroom. I incorporate various 21st Century Learning techniques and apps, differentiated instruction, as well as a flipped classroom approach using my online website, Desire to Learn. My hope is that students incorporate health and wellness practices into their days so that they can engage in learning, take responsible risks, all while tapping into their creativity. My teaching style is one that fosters innovation, self-regulation, and confidence in self.
