TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have currently taught for six years in a small, rural, public high school .

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love teaching, and I feel that I have a laid-back, yet extremely organized style of teaching. I find that students are more engaged and respectful if I treat them how I would like to be treated. I work hard to create lesson plans that are engaging and keep students entertained all the while increasing their knowledge.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I received a full tuition scholarship to NGU as well as receiving the English Award for my studies as I graduated. I graduated Magna cum Laude.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from North Greenville Unviersity in Greenville, SC. Additionally, I am earning my master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Language and Literacy from the University of Illinois. I have served as a class sponsor, a member of the school improvement committee, and curriculum head for our high school.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a mama to three little children, two the old-fashioned way, and one adopted from Uganda. I love to learn and teach, and I love Pinterest and flipping items/houses!
