TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have chosen teaching as my passion, not just as a "job." I have been teaching for 8 years as an elementary teacher, teaching all grades, at one point or another, from preschool through 5th grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in using positive discipline as a means of nurturing behavior, teaching children coping skills and personal responsibility, setting limits for behavior, and helping each child develop the capacity for self control. Positive discipline can be utilized to shape new behaviors and/or decrease negative behaviors.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have received several awards for my Classroom Management. Classroom Management is a key component in any educational setting. If students are in a safe environment, then learning can take place. I engage my students through the curriculum as well as getting to know them and interacting with them one on one.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, certified P-5.
