I've been teaching science since 2001. During my tenure I've mostly taught high school physical science and physics, but I've also taught biology, life science and environmental science. At a small private school they even had me teaching American history and photography. After briefly starting out at a junior high school, I moved up the high school level and have been here since.
I like to mix up my approach to deliver my instruction but I also have a fairly constant routine, especially for my freshmen students. Giving that I teach mostly physics and physical science, I have a number of activities that get the kids up and moving during class. The content can be challenging and I have very high expectations of all my students. I push them to achieve more than they initially thought they were able to learn, but also pepper our class with humor and fun activities.
