EDUCATING RIVERS

Over the past 10 years I have been a primary teacher, early years practitioner, private tutor, reading recovery teacher and a senior leader co-ordinating cross-curricular teaching and learning. But above all these roles, I have been myself.....dedicated to shaping little minds, giving my all to every experience and offering children and experience and memory which will carry them on to amazing heights.

I believe in learning experiences which simulate real life and take the children on a massive adventure. Throughout their learning journey they will take on roles, solve problems, apply skills and take on a missions no matter how hard they may seem. As a teacher I join them for the ride, facilitating the learning but allowing them to take charge of the experience in order to make it their own. Make it fun! Make it memorable! Make it about them! That's the child like mind I take into work every day to inspire not only them, but colleagues and myself. If I'm not sweating by the end of a session - then I didn't give it my all and break barriers. Teach them as if they were your children.
