Easy as a Click

I have been a teacher for the past 15 years. I have taught a variety of levels. I love what I do and want to offer my ideas to others. I hope you like what you find here.

I view learning as a social, cultural as well as child centred activity. Learning is not a spectator sport. It involves children as active learners as they construct their own knowledge. As a teacher, I am only the guide at their sides. It is also important that teachers cater for the needs of all learners. This includes, the special needs child, the gifted, the audio visual learner, the aesthetic learner, the kinaesthetic or tactile learner, the read/write learner, etc. How do we cater to all of them? With differentiated instruction in our classrooms. We also meet each child where he/she is at, creating the environment necessary for their learning and providing the support needed. Most important is our guiding them to create their own knowledge. We do this through the use of well constructed learning plans/ lesson plans, use of technology and lots of other resources that cater to activity oriented learning. This is why I have decided to put some of the resources I have created for sale on Teachers pay Teachers. I have done so at a very affordable price.
