I run a summer camp at the youth center I founded. Each week is themed and activities happen all day long. This past year, they also followed the PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood. These are child tested and approved! Most of my products come from these last 5 years. New products are being tested and added as they are needed either in camp or in homeschooling my own children. I also run an escape room business and use that knowledge in many of my activities for camp, as they are a great way to experience learning.

I think learning should be fun, engaging, and student led. Of course, there are subjects that simply must be taught, but the more the student is engaged, the more they retain. I love to make learning into games and puzzels, so the escape room or treasure hunt methode is a favorite. I also follow the classical model of learning, grammar, dialect, and rhetoric. I want my kids to have a love of learning!

I was homeschooled through 12th grade. I attended both community college and Cairn University. I have degrees in Communications, Bible, and a Master's in Organizational Leadership.

I founded the Solid Rock Youth Center and their summer camp, which follows a homeschooling philosophy of activities and the PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood. I was also a Staff Sargent in the Army National Guard, where I served for 9 years. I work in a daycare and also homeschool my own daughter. I have self-published several books, all of which can be found on Amazon. They are adventure, fantasy, and romance for teens and adults. I also started an escape room business and have incorporated my knowledge from that into many of my activities here. I love to engage the imagination in my teaching too!
