My name is Dione and I have had the honor and privilege of educating Middle School students in and around the metro Atlanta, Georgia area for the last fifteen years. For the last twelve years, I have been working at a Middle School in Georgia teaching in the Gifted Program. For the last seven years, my schedule has been to teach the following: 6th TAG World Geography, 7th TAG World Geography, 8th TAG Georgia History, 6th TAG Earth Science, and 7th TAG Life Science on top of my other duties as Talented and Gifted Contact, Academic Bowl Coach, Geography Bee Coordinator, etc. As you can see, I have a busy schedule.
My diverse teaching schedule has allowed me to create a plethora of activities in 6th World Geography, 7th World Geography, 8th Georgia History, 6th Earth Science, and 7th Life Science. My teaching style includes a variety of hands on activities, foldables, graphic organizers, teacher directed lessons, student directed lessons, Authentic Assessment, Learning Focused, Inquiry, Decision Making, etc.
I feel honored when my students understand a concept; therefore, I am honored daily.
I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree with Capella University in K-12 Studies.
