Debbie Ladd (Lichtman) has worked in the field of education since 1975 and has been writing children’s stories for over 25 years. While she holds a Masters Degree in administration/supervision and is certified to teach grades 1-12, Debbie has focused her attention on high school English and journalism classes.

While she holds a Masters Degree in administration/supervision and is certified to teach grades 1-12, Debbie has focused her attention on high school English and journalism classes. Labeled a master teacher, she has earned national and local recognition for her work as a journalism adviser in Florida and Oregon and has spoken at national conventions around the country. She has also made presentations and conducted in-services for the Elk Grove Unified School District on classroom organization as well as on how to write and publish books for both a parks department and her school district. Due to her knowledge in journalism, she has critiqued periodicals for several organizations and was presented with the Gold Award by a national publishing company. As a successful teacher, author, and publisher, she was featured in 2006’s Who’s Who in America and in the 2006, 2008, and 2010-2011 editions of Who’s Who of American Women.

As an author of five children’s books and counting, Debbie seeks to bring the joy of reading to children. She has presented lessons and read in a variety of venues including in elementary and preschools in and around Northern California and in Florida, at parks and recreation centers, and at Starbucks in conjunction with its literacy program. Debbie was profiled in the Journal, a California Central Coast publication and has appeared in shows throughout Northern California. Debbie’s stories vary in content, from exploring life’s lessons to embracing imagination and fantasy. What if? is recommended by both Child and Parent magazines while Don't Pick Your Nose was applauded by best-selling Amazon author, Don Maruska. Nurse Robin’s Hats garnered a positive endorsement from the main headquarters of Locks of Love while Ethan the Ending Eater received high praise from Midwest Book Review.
