Culturally Inclusive Resources

I have been teaching for 11 years at a campus with a very high population of ESL and refugee children. I teach newcomers which is a class for children who are brand new to the country and learning English. I created my curriculum over the past 11 years and want to start sharing that curriculum with teachers who may feel lost teaching ELLS.

I focus a lot on SEL and activities that make my newcomers feel safe and comfortable in their new environment. I also focus heavily on phonics and reading because those are the skills that will help them be successful as they move to the mainstream classroom.
