I'm Corey Lozier, and I've been sharing my love for movement and imagination with students big & small for 20+ years. I have taught dance to ages 18 months through adult in a studio setting as well as in schools through enrichment programs.
I've found that the best way into a student's heart is a nice mix of silly and serious! I love all dance forms, but my heart has always belonged to tap dance. I'm inspired every day by curious and clever students. The connections that they make between our dance lessons and the lessons they are learning in school provides me with brand new inspiration and ideas each day.
I am a former member of the nationally touring professional dance companies, Chicago Tap Theatre and Jump Rhythm Jazz Project. In 2008, I won an Emmy Award for Performance for the documentary, Getting There: Jump Rhythm Jazz Project.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western Michigan University.
