Being a qualified teacher with an additional Diploma in Remedial Education, over sixteen years teaching experience and having had the opportunity to teach students with diverse backgrounds in South Africa, the UK, Australia and visiting schools in New-Zealand, has given me insight and understanding of the special needs of children.
Structured lessons, planned across the curriculum which include a variety of differentiated activities, involve as many senses as possible, taking into consideration the students' level of ability, as well as their social and cultural background.

As a teacher and children's book author living in Queensland, Australia, I have a particular interest in assisting students with special needs, helping them experience success, which normally starts with reading. I started writing stories to assist a nine year old student who use to “read” pictures instead of pronouncing the words. My aim is to provide students, teachers and parents with stories and educational books, taking into consideration the concepts applicable for the specific reading level, but at the same time trying to make it as interesting as possible.
