Taught middle school enriched math & fifth grade math & science since 2000.

I believe that to create independent and creative thinkers, a teacher should perform as a facilitator and guide to learning by providing the knowledge, opportunities to use that knowledge in real world setting and build a strong foundation for them to climb upon. Teaching children HOW to learn is essential to higher education. My goal is to give children the tools and motivation to learn independently, and develop a sense of ownership and accomplishment now so that they will have confidence in their abilities, and the fullest understanding of the skills required to reach their greatest potential.

I have three children who have obtained International Baccalaureate diplomas in high school, and have moved on to Dean's List in college on academic scholarships. I'm very proud of them and their accomplishments. I developed my teaching strategies to help my own children develop into smart, savvy, independent adults, and they did! I am very blessed.
