I began my teaching journey at the beginning of the pandemic. As a result, I have had to be creative in how I teach to account for all the restrictions that entailed. I know the struggle of being a new teacher and having access to few resources that I could use in my classroom because they either seemed to complicated to implement within the time given or it was not at the level my students needed it to be due to their gaps in learning from the pandemic years. As a result, I made many of my own resources that start simple but scaffolded the content to get the students where they need to be.
I believe that hand-on activities are the best ways to learn. Not only are they more fun and keep students engaged in the content but t also allows the content to be remembered long term.

I have taught many subjects in my short teaching career. So far I have taught Biology, Chemistry, Aquatics, and Astronomy. Biology was my original passion, but I have grown to love and appreciate each of these subjects and cannot wait to share what I have learned and created with other educators.
