Breanna Molix

I am starting my 10th year of certified teaching, but close to my 13th year overall. I was a Pre-K teacher for for 2 1/2 years, kindergarten teacher for 4 years, SSTEAM (Science, Social Studies, Technology, Engineering, Music and Art) teacher for Pre-K through 2nd for 1 year, 3rd grade Math, Science, and Social studies for 2 years, and will be continuing in my third year as a 4th Grade Science & Social Studies teacher and Robotics Coach! In high school I had to opportunity to be involved in a student teaching program where I was able to go out for the last couple hours of school and student teach in our districts elementary and middle schools. I spent my junior year student teaching kindergarten and my senior year student teaching middle school band with my former band director.

I love teaching by using hand-on activities in small group centers. Most of our day is spent in small groups either working with manipulatives, experimenting, journals or assessments. I believe assessments can be done in a fun way that does not give away to the kids the fact that you are assessing.

I have the cutest little dachshund at home named after John Lennon! I love, love, LOVE to do science experiments in the classroom with my kids and seeing the lights turn on and concepts come together from other things we've talked about in class. I can't wait to see all of the amazing things my former and current students do!
