I have been teaching for 18 years in the public schools of NC. I have taught both middle and high school. Subjects I have taught include: AP United States History, AP Psychology, AP Government and Politics, AP European History, Civics and Economics, American History, 8th Grade Social Studies.

I use a combination of teacher-directed and student-centered assignments and activities. My students keep an interactive notebook throughout the semester/school year. I also utilize IDMs (Inquiry Design Model) in my classroom to promote research and critical thinking skills.
