This is my third year as a full-time teacher in a 1st grade bilingual class. Prior to that I was a part-time English teaching assistant in Spain for kids in day care through 6th grade.
I've had a whirlwind of experience, learning as I go in the different environments I've taught in. I've learned the importance of maintaining a structured, but compassionate classroom and always staying calm in the face of all the chaos and silliness that happens to my kiddos on a day to day basis.
Yet to be added
Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a minor in Spanish from Northeastern University. I became a teacher through an alternative certification program in Dallas.
I'm a New York transplant still trying to get used to life in Texas! Its been a great few years so far, but sometimes it feels like I've left the country, not just my state :)
