I grew up knowing I wanted to be a teacher all my life! I taught in first and fourth grades for student teaching and in a private school teaching kindergarten for four years after that. Now I currently am a one-on-one aid for a student with learning disabilities. I LOVE teaching phonics and math and being able to inspire students to be confident in their abilities and to love to read!
The main goal of my teaching style is to meet every student where they are at and then to build them up from there! My resources on TpT are meant to give students hands-on, clear, and purposeful activities that build confidence and give them successful experiences as they learn to read and develop math skills! I want each and every student in my classroom to be able to experience the amazing feeling of accomplishing something successfully, especially in their beginning years!
No big honors or awards here, just the sweet words from my students throughout the year. Love them!
I got my teaching degree and certification from Biola University in Southern California. I moved back home to Washington after completing school and now have my WA teaching credential as well.
I am married to a great husband who is also a teacher! We have two sweet girls and a crazy dog =)
