Hi, Im Ashleigh and I've been teaching drama for many years. I'm proud to say I am now Principal of a sucessful Stageschool and still teach drama. It is my firm belief that drama sould be fun, effective and different. Many teachers believe that playing 'Duck, Duck Goose' within a drama class is a valuable drama skill. I dont agree- There are many fun games that use the imagination, engage children from 2 years old to 18 years old and help build skills for the future. Whether the child wants to be an actor or just needs some confidence building. This site and my lesson plans will help any drama teacher provide fun, exciting and effective lessons- lessons that have a purpose and help children gain those skills and feel comfortable and confident doing so. I have been a mentor for drama teachers and supported their progress and now would like to share this knowledge. The term plans available are easy to understand and provide objectives, activities and all resources for a full 12 week term. History- Having graduated and gained valuable experience as a performer after university, I found my passion lay with teaching. I have taught drama for 10 years and directed many shows including the Youth Theatre version of Billy Elliot. I am a LAMDA Tutor and now run a Stageschool. Thankyou, Ashleigh x
