I have been fortunate enough to teach for 30 years from K- Grade 8 across 3 continents! It has been an amazing journey that continually involved learning from amazing colleagues and students! I have also been involved in teacher training and integrating technology across the curriculum. I love my job!!

My classroom is a positive and vibrant place! I strive to find the best ways I can to ensure the students and I are enthusiastic, engaged, collaborative and creative! My classroom is organised and structured with well-established routines, expectations and leadership roles which then allows us a lot of flexibility and freedom to explore, learn through play and using 21st Century tools and develop our incorporate our interests and passions! In my classes I believe in - using hands on materials, drama, technology and flexible learning areas - incorporating multiple intelligences and higher order thinking skills - differentiation to cater for individual needs in all learning areas - providing opportunities for collaboration and cooperation in social learning situations, - integrating games and inquiry play - developing a safe and nurturing environment within which students are supportive and brave about taking risks in their learning - using BYOD/BYOT as well as school technology including Promethean Interactive Whiteboards, laptops, iPads, robotics and tools to connect to classrooms around the world! - ensuring my students love coming to school each day, and helping them to develop a life long love of learning!! I am constantly finding ways to integrate games, thinking skills and technology into learning and have a very firm grasp on developing core knowledge and skills. This is an exciting yet challenging time to be a teacher and I am thrilled that through TPT we have access to quality digital teaching resources made by teachers!
