Started my teaching career with private flute lessons for 7th and 8th graders when I was in high school. Two of my undergraduate years in college at Stephen F. Austin State, I taught astronomy lab several days a week and also worked as a grader in the computer science department. After I graduated with a BS in Earth and Life Science Education from Texas A&M, I worked for a non-profit camp in several roles including writing outdoor education curriculum and overseeing staff and campers. Currently working for College Station ISD: one year as a paraprofessional in a resource classroom, and five years in a third grade classroom...most of those teaching math, science and social studies.
I run a very structured classroom, but we make time to laugh together and learn from each other. I love spending time with my third graders - they are full of life and good humor!
