MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a constructivist, and I believe that students are able to build upon the knowledge that they gain. I believe that there is much that students can do on their own with the guidance of a teacher. Although there is not one perfect way to teach students that I have ever seen, there some methods that are more effective than others and reach the most students. Every single child is different, and this must always be kept in mind when teaching. Some students learn better through hearing and seeing, and some though doing. But, with most students, it is all of the senses combined that produces a lasting effect. The most important way that I believe helps students to learn is through first illustrating a topic and explaining a topic, and then letting students dig deeper into the topic through research or various activities.
