I have 18 years of teaching experience: Kindergarten, Third Grade, and the Early Intervention Program K-5. I have spent the last nine years as the lead teacher for our K-5 Gifted and Talented Program. This coming school year, 2015-2016, I am going to pilot a STEAM Engineering Lab for our K-5 students in addition to teaching advanced content language arts and mathematics.
My goal as a teacher is to offer students a classroom where they are comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I want my students to be curious, discover new things, master the curriculum, and above all love learning. To accomplish this awesome task I merge three traits: educate the whole child, facilitate learning, and stay abreast of current trends and best practices in education. Hands-On Learning Is The Best Learning!
