14+ years of secondary English education. All levels and styles of English literature and writing, including ESL, gifted and honors. Grades 6-12 licensed US teacher in two states. Extensive training in Common Core, SAT prep, MLA/research, curriculum writing, data tracking, and writing and active reading strategies. Taught in China, FL, Las Vegas, and Kuwait. Currently in Hangzhou, China.

Special Recognition from Florida Board of Ed. for my students' performance on the Florida State Assessment in 2016, and from the Nevada Governor for Excellence in Teaching via Teach for America, 2010; Accepted to study at the Library of Congress for a two-week intensive course, 2014; Training in Israel through Yad Vashem in Holocaust remembrance and education about genocide, 2016; Currently appointed testing coordinator for my high school, where I teach other educators how to use the feedback from the PSAT and SAT score reports to inform instruction.
