X-PLANE Sentence Strategy

The X-PLANE Sentence Strategy is a unique approach to teaching your students how to explain their thoughts when they write. We came up with this strategy when our students struggled to explain their thoughts and support their answers. Teaching this strategy with the SMARTboard file will allow the students to visually understand the difference between an okay paragraph and an exceptional one by using X-PLANE sentences. This particular lesson teaches the strategy while writing a "How To" paragraph. However, after teaching the strategy, students will understand they can use X-PLANE sentences when writing any paragraph or quality answer.
