Welcome your students to your class with this lovely poem.
An ideal first poem to a class or personal poetry anthology.
Enlarge and laminate to make a class poster. Surround the poem with photos and of your children with:
- brief descriptions
- acrostic poems using their names
- alliteration descriptors e.g. Brave Ben, Jovial Joshua, Sporty Sam
If you are musical, think of a suitable tune. Change each 'stanza' into a 'verse' or a 'verse and chorus'
e.g.
Starlight, Starbright
or Twinkle twinkle - and repeat verse 1.
