Increase your student's reading and writing vocabulary by helping them understand the meaning of common roots within words. As students learn the meaning of root words, they can apply that reading strategy to decode new words, increasing their vocabulary and reading comprehension.

Four vocabulary activities are included:

(1) build words using the root words with picture cue for meaning of root word

(2) reading and matching meaning to each root word

(3) type root word meanings without clues

(4) identify real words for each root word
