Get your middle and high school students in the Valentine spirit, avoid the monotony of worksheets, and meet standards with this fun, easy prep Valentine's Day activity with expressions of love that use figurative language!

Student Experience: Students will learn with movement as they review figurative language with a fun Valentine's Day twist. Give students one or more cards, and they will identify and explain the statement on the card. I've now included a digital version of the activity that students can use right in Google on their devices. Each no prep card speaks with the language of love and could be used as task cards, small groups, large group interactive sorting activity, literacy centers, bell ringers, exit tickets, and more.
