Description

Starting a unit about Transcendentalism and Romanticism? I have an engaging, student centered activity for you! Have your students research about Transcendentalist and Romantic reformers and leaders by assigning them a number. The next day, students can teach each other about who they researched.

This product includes a list of people to research, criteria needed to make a biography, an example presentation slide, 3 template slides, and a note catcher for when they present to eachother.

Before completing this assignment we spent a day diving into the ideas of leaders and followers to warm up our brains for these activities.

The list of leaders and reformers provided was made for a class of 36 and has some repeats, but it worked great for me.

This activity was great for putting the learning in students hands. I gave them a day to research and make their slide, and then, students participated in concentric circles. Students took turns presenting their slides to their partners. After two minutes, students switch to a new partner and so on.
