Description

This is a Power Point covering the history of board games world wide. It starts with the origination of dice and goes through all of world history up to the latest European Board Game wave. It takes me two days to go through the presentation in my game design class. On the last slide are a series of questions that can be copied off and pasted into a Word document, or virtual learning environment class, which require the students to answer one question per slide to ensure they are paying attention during the presentation.

I have also included an audio file of me going through the PowerPoint and explaining the history of what is portrayed on each slide. The recording is an hour long. You can listen while watching the PowerPoint or just listen to the audio clip separately to understand the history of board games.

Please check out my other three PowerPoints on game history:

The History of Card Games

The Evolution of Chess

The Early History of Video Games
