Description

Looking to practice ten frames in your Spring math centers? Your kindergartners will use snap cubes to build Spring themed pictures while they work on ten frames with this fun math center activity.

You can also use these Spring ten frame math games as a:

  • Spring-themed independent math activity that keeps your students engaged while working independently
  • Spring morning work for number practice and counting
  • Early finisher activity perfect for spring

And my favorite way: Use these in your small groups as a math small group activity. These ten frame mats are great hands-on activities for comparing numbers, counting, and writing numbers 0-30 with your small group!

Looking for something beyond another spring worksheet? Look no further- these spring activities are not another spring worksheet for your kindergarteners! And here’s why…

Every spring ten frame activity incorporates snap cubes, dice, and crayons that add instant engagement while practicing counting and ten frames. Your students will be having fun, while working on fine motor skills as well!

Plus, inside the Spring Ten Frames Math Centers you will find:

10 different ten frame mats that cover skills such as:

  • Number identification
  • Comparing and contrasting numbers (greater than, less than, and equal to)
  • Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities
  • Counting objects
  • Counting to answer “how many?” questions (up to 30 snap cubes)

Differentiate your spring ten frames math center with ease:

Some ten frame mats will only practice 0-10 and some will practice 0-30

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
