Speaking Interviews in Spanish: La Comida
- Google Docs™
Description
Get students up and speaking in Spanish with this information gap interview task.
My students love these interviews. It gets them up and moving, reading, writing, listening and speaking...all in Spanish. I guide them through the first task as a whole class. While they walk around and talk with their peers for the second task, I monitor and assist as needed. Finally they come back to complete the writing. If they have time, or for homework, they can draw a picture to illustrate what they wrote. It can be a great end of unit culminating activity.
Task #1: Students write answers to the provided questions about themselves (you can guide them through this if necessary) in the 'yo' column.
Task #2: Students will get up and interview two separate classmates in Spanish, filling in the information collected in the appropriate column.
Task #3 asks them to write a paragraph about themselves and then a friend using the information they gathered from the interviews.
Task 4: Fast finishers? Students will lastly draw a picture to illustrate what they wrote.
I hope this saves you time and that your classes enjoy it as much as mine do!
