Description

These are the high frequency words (sight words, word wall words) that I teach throughout the year to my Spanish Immersion Kindergarten students.

The words are: la, el, él, no, tu, tú, es, de, día, un, una, si, sí, bien, son, voy, quiero, papá, mamá, soy, en, tengo, yo, muy, bueno, este, que, gustar, y, hola, como ¿por qué?, cuando, donde

The excel document prints landscape style on 5 pages. The 5th page is only "cuando" and "donde" repeated to fill up the page to not waste a sheet of copies.

I copy the words onto colored cardstock, cut on the lines, and then hole-punch on the left. The student keep the words on a binder ring in their book box to flip through them, reading a reviewing the words on a regular basis.

You could also set out certain flashcards for word work practice with play-doh, wikki-sticks, letter stamps, letter magnets, etc to practice targeted words. We use the flashcards individually and in small group settings. When a child reads the word correctly to you, you could mark the card with a sticker or smiley face as a symbol that that know that word.

Enjoy using these flashcards throughout the year! Feel free to edit for your own personal classroom use.
