Description

This lesson allows the use of technology with an integrated approach in teaching and all the work is done for you! Allow students to think about their heritage by using text wrapping over photographs to create a poster that allows them to celebrate a historical figure from the past or present.

In addition, you may take the project to another level by teaching the students how to draw a "wood-grain" frame for the photo art they have created.

I did this project with my 6th-8th grade students, and I believe students grades 6-12 would have the skills needed and would enjoy this activity.

Lesson includes grade level standards, teacher and student examples of completed works, how to video link, front loading video link, history of US territories and immigration close read, US Statehood activity, and history of immigration maps, all in an easy to project and follow along document.

MORE TO COME! I'm preparing my tpt pre-K-12th lessons and units of study products for multiple grade levels including holidays and topics such as “A Christian Christmas,” "A Christian Easter," “Bugs & Butterflies,” “Artist’s Inspired Florals,” “Artists Inspired Landscapes,” “Love Like Jesus Graffiti Wall,” "3D," "Weaving," and many more!

Contact me at artpeddler@hotmail.com if you would like me to create art lessons for any subject or topic! I LOVE, LOVE doing research!
