Description
We always need to determine whether or not the students understand the material that we cover in class. You can put a question on the board either as a pre-assessment (about the lesson you are about to teach) or as an informal assessment about a previous lesson.
For example, "List and describe the three major rock types."
The students can fill out this worksheet every day as the bells rings or as they walk into your classroom. This allows them to have something to work on when they arrive and it's a way to assess their learning.
