    Description

This bundle includes 16 different Algebra 1 lessons over linear equations and inequalities. These notes provide fantastic scaffolding by starting out with finding slope from linear equations in various forms, then move into point slope-form and standard form equations, parallel and perpendicular lines, linear inequalities, and end with scatter plots and linear regression.

These lessons provide a variety of practice for students with simple skills-based problems all the way through real world application problems. Students and teachers love how easy these notes are to follow and understand.

The 16 lessons included in this bundle are:

    1. Finding Slope from Linear Equations

    2. Point-Slope Form

    3. Standard Form of Linear Equations

    4. Graphing Linear Equations in All 3 Forms

    5. Writing Linear Equations from Word Problems

    6. Slopes of Parallel and Perpendicular Lines

    7. Parallel Lines & Equations

    8. Perpendicular Lines & Equations

    9. Transformations of Linear Functions Graphic Organizer

    10. Linear Function Transformations

    11. Linear Inequalities Introduction

    12. Graphing Linear Inequalities

    13. Writing Linear Inequalities from Graphs

    14. Writing Linear Inequalities from Word Problems

    15. Scatter Plots & Line of Best Fit

    16. Linear Regression & Correlation Coefficient

This bundle includes some pre-lessons that will be necessary for students who may have missed instruction during the pandemic and need extra scaffolding. They could also work well with advanced students depending on how you use them, as they are easy to get through quickly, or could be done independently.

These notes get straight to the point of the skill being taught, which I have found is imperative for the attention span of teenagers! They are also a great tool for students to refer back to.

You can find the videos where I work out these notes on my YouTube channel here.

In this bundle, you can download the individual PDFs for each lesson listed out. I also include a PDF with all the bundled notes & keys in one document as a bonus.

These notes are great for in class or distance learning! They include clear instruction, key words & vocabulary, and a variety of examples. They are easy to turn into videos or interactive with google slides.

    These guided notes align well with TEKS A.2B, A.2E, A.2F, A.2G, A.2H, A.3A, A.3C, A.3D, A.3E, A.4A, and A.4C

Construct a function to model a linear relationship between two quantities. Determine the rate of change and initial value of the function from a description of a relationship or from two (𝘹, 𝘺) values, including reading these from a table or from a graph. Interpret the rate of change and initial value of a linear function in terms of the situation it models, and in terms of its graph or a table of values.
Create equations in two or more variables to represent relationships between quantities; graph equations on coordinate axes with labels and scales.
Represent constraints by equations or inequalities, and by systems of equations and/or inequalities, and interpret solutions as viable or non-viable options in a modeling context. For example, represent inequalities describing nutritional and cost constraints on combinations of different foods.
Graph the solutions to a linear inequality in two variables as a half-plane (excluding the boundary in the case of a strict inequality), and graph the solution set to a system of linear inequalities in two variables as the intersection of the corresponding half-planes.
For a function that models a relationship between two quantities, interpret key features of graphs and tables in terms of the quantities, and sketch graphs showing key features given a verbal description of the relationship.
