Jazz History Unit - Google Slides

This package includes a series of eight Google Slides presentation lessons that will guide students through the history and development of jazz music in America. Chronologically ordered, each lesson focuses on a different period of jazz - including Jazz Origins, Ragtime, the Blues, Dixieland, Swing, Bebop, Cool Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Latin Jazz and Vocal Jazz. Bellwork and Closure activities are incorporated into each presentation. Student friendly information, images, and videos are included to make the lesson fun and engaging for all learners. I strongly encourage educators to implement their own teaching styles by facilitating discussions and note taking, asking questions, making accommodations, and utilizing active participation.
