What is Dot Day? International Dot Day is celebrated every year on the 15th of September. This holiday was created by a teacher named Terry Shay back in 2009 as a way of celebrating creativity, courage, and collaboration. The whole event is inspired by a children's book called The Dot, which was written by Peter H. Reynolds.
Ways to Use
•Have a Dot Day...or week!
•Pick and choose which activities you want to do...or do them all!
•Set up stations around your room.
•Rotate from room to room to complete one activity in each room.
•Do one activity each day for a week.
•Do activities as a whole class.
•Use for Early Finishers
•Detailed directions, so it can even be used by a sub!
•Sprinkle them throughout the year as PBIS, Fun Friday activities, Morning Meeting activities, or other thematic units.
•Have a Dot MakerSpace Station and use it throughout the year.
