How to Write a Great College Admissions Essay - Works with Common Application

I have been teaching 11th graders to write a college admissions essay for the past ten years and this system really works! It's especially great if you have a wide variety of writing abilities within the same class.

My favorite part of the packet is the "student" writing samples that help students understand what a finished product is going to look like. I've also included a brainstorming activity, an essay organizer, a rubric, and brief explanation of how to effectively use these materials.
