Description

This healthy eating PowerPoint will stimulate class/group/pair discussions about what healthy eating is. It teaches the 5 main food groups (fruit, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy) and discusses the quantities recommended for each by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). Conversations on which foods go into each category and what we should or shouldn't eat are also presented. Finally there is a balanced diet plate and a slide to encourage ideas about what else is needed for a healthy lifestyle.
