Description

Here's a chance to get the children thinking about extreme weather, natural disasters, and hurricanes, all while getting some reading practice!

Why use Facts About Hurricanes Boom Learning Digital Task Cards? Children are drawn to scientific concepts such as weather and storms. These Boom Learning Digital Task Cards will give the children an opportunity to practice their reading and thinking skills, while thinking about hurricanes as well.

How it works: The children are given a fact about hurricanes, and are to determine if the fact is true or false. If the children get the answer correct, the device tells them right away. If they don’t answer the question correctly, it lets them try again. Teachers are able to access records of how children performed. Since Boom Learning task cards can be used on any device, these are perfect for remote learning, when the children can’t be at school.

What’s included: This deck has 25 facts about hurricanes for the children to read and determine if true or false. These task cards will not only test their knowledge of this type of extreme weather, but will teach them a few new facts as well! The student gets practice with reading skills while developing science knowledge and vocabulary. Boom Learning Digital Task Cards are perfect for classroom or remote learning!

Boom Cards are easy for the teacher and fun for the children!

  • These can be played on computers or tablets, give immediate feedback to the children, and detailed data for the teacher.
