I used this activity to review rhetorical appeals. Students worked in groups to figure out which rhetorical appeal went with which quote. I then had them share their answers and defend their answers as they shared. They said it really started to make sense to them after this activity.
Great tool and resource for hands-on, interactive review. My students were engaged in small-group discussions while trying to determine some of the "trickier" examples and I'm sure those conversations helped them further understand the difference between the rhetorical appeals.
