Entire Store: Full year's curriculum: for Freshman through Senior English.

This is a selection of loosely structured units to be used as the basis for a year of teaching Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior English. It would be ideal for a teacher with under 5 years of experience, as it would allow you to hit the ground running.

Admittedly, I have taught many more years at the Junior & Senior levels, so there are many more novel units for these later years. I suspect that a teacher teaching both upper and lower division classes would find many useful resources here for any year of high-school English, but a teacher teaching only upper-division will easily find a full year's curriculum in this one package.

It does not come with a specific pacing guide for the whole package because I don't believe that one size fits all schools, student demographics, teaching styles, or teacher and community preferences. There is, however, enough here to run a solid year of English instruction with meaningful critical thinking, analysis, composition, and public speaking components. Book availability, of course, differs from school to school and district to district, as does standards emphasis (these materials were written under California State standards, including common core, but I have not specifically tagged the standards to each activity or unit--that would be up to a teacher who wanted to do so), so a teacher buying this bundle would choose from this selection what would work in their particular setting.

Notably, I have been selling on this platform since 2006, so many of these resources are in Microsoft Word format, and will likely have to be imported into Google Workspace, or whatever software you use at your site. This may mean you might spend a few minutes reformatting documents to your liking. Other resources here are PDF. In any case, this package should give you a great start in your journey.

Further, you will find some duplicated material across the units. And sadly, you will find some typos, too. Please read the reviews of my products. I have a long history of very positive reviews, but some buyers have wanted plug-and-play lessons that would require no previewing and no teacher input. My thinking is that you'll look through my resources, choose many to use as they are, choose to update and modify some to meet the needs of your particular classes and teaching style, and use still others as a jumping off point, or inspiration, for your own creations.
