Canada Country Study: ELA - Digital Interactive Notebook + Mini Flipbook

This Interdisciplinary Digital Interactive Notebook and Mini Flipbook Activity can be used for a fascinating country study about Canada! Students will practice reading and inferring information from the text and answering questions from the text all while learning geography, history and social studies! You can print it out or share the PDF/Google Slides version depending on your classroom needs. Each page contains information and an activity related to the country. Pages can be colored like a mini-coloring book as well.

This is a great activity for English Language Arts, English Language Learning, Social Studies, History and Geography! Learners aged five to fourteen will find these activities relevant, the Digital Interactive Notebook may be better for the older students and the Mini Flip Book Activity and Coloring Book will be better for younger learners!

Included in the resource is:

1. A colorful introduction page with information about Natasha who you will meet along the way

2. A postcard written by Natasha about life in the Canada

3. A page of questions about Canada based upon the postcard

4. A page for students to list the new words they have learned in English and write the definition or draw an image to help them remember the word

5. Two pages about celebrities from the country with a small biographical research project on six of the celebrities

6. A page with two fake airplane tickets for students to fill out and imagine they are travelling to the country of study

7. Three pages with 12 task cards for students to complete including finding a recipe, researching about museums and villages in the country

8. Six fun facts about the country for the student to research and put into the digital interactive notebook. These pages can also be printed out for a paper based interactive notebook.

9. A travel brochure template for the student to design, illustrate, color and research

10. A page for students to research a recipe from the country and fill in the page as though they're making a cookbook

11. A template for the student to create a Facebook profile for a celebrity from the country

12. A coloring page with animals, objects and the flag of the country

13. The mini flipbook activity is six pages in total including a cover page, a map labelling page, a postcard writing page, a page with a fact about the country, a Venn diagram comparing holidays from the country to holidays in your own country and a page looking at music, sports and foods from the country.
