    Description

Visit 34 French Speaking Countries: English Language Arts

What is it like to live in French-speaking countries? There are many places all over the world that have French as an official language. For instance, what is it like to live in Benin, Togo, Comoros, France, and Belgium? Learn about each country through the eyes of a pre-teen/teenager!

I have consulted with people from many Francophone countries to depict life as accurately as I can. I hope my experiences reflect in the passion I have put into researching and portraying each country as a universe unto itself. Students may find these country studies relatable as they are illustrated through the eyes of a student from each country.

Studies have shown that learning about different cultures at an early age expands our horizons, allows us to be open to criticism, be patient, and be willing to consider other points of view. Learning about different countries prepares students to become better citizens in their communities, to become more empathetic, to recognize their own strengths and points of view and makes them open to new ideas. Furthermore, students will feel more confident and safe with differences later in life which allows them to interact in a wider range of social groups and feel more confident in their interactions with others. Another benefit is that students are better prepared for a diverse workplace which is necessary in a globalized world.
