Check out the PREVIEW video by clicking on the little thumbnail image that has a PLAY arrow on it. Make sure you can see the Hebrew letter names at the bottom of the slide and volume is turned on.

This is Slide Show #3 out of 4.

Slide Show #3 is for practicing and assessing letter recognition, as letters are:

  • presented in alphabetical order
  • without picture clues

  • Hebrew Letters For English Speakers (4 separate slide shows available) is a phonetic and pictorial, digital flashcards, alphabetic slide show series for a whole class or center activity and is amazing for your Hebrew instruction, even with distance learning. This is a paperless, self-running, self-checking, visual, musical, engaging, "digital flashcard" program. You will complete each slide activity in as little as 5 minutes or as much as 30 minutes of class time.

  • NOTE- Make sure you have PowerPoint software on which to play the presentation.

  • Buyers can change the letter name spelling and speed of the presentation with PowerPoint controls.

Why is this program better?

Starting with the first and second presentations in my 4-part series, Hebrew letters are easier for English speakers, because other programs present unfamiliar Hebrew words, not English words, with the letters. Unfortunately, a lion is often shown with the letter aleph, and a camel is shown for gimmel, because that's what it starts with in Ivrit. However, in my slide show series, the pictures make sense to English speakers:

  • banana start with bet
  • veterinarian starts with vet
  • gate starts with gimmel

And guess what? My English picture words are actually Hebrew picture words, too! So, it' really is like they are learning the Hebrew alphabet with Hebrew words!

Self-Quiz Feature with Instant Answer Feedback included

Students have a few moments of wait time to guess or say the name of the letter on the screen before the correct answer is displayed, giving almost-instant feedback! Educational researchers say this is very motivating for kids, and the reason they are drawn to video games.

** Great for distance learning! Share your screen with your students when playing the presentation. (Zoom sharing Instructions here- https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362153-How-Do-I-Share-My-Screen-)
