Description
In this fun, simple, and student centered activity, students will learn about chemical and physical properties of elements. This is an easy way to teach about individual elements in a time-efficient manner. Students will practice peer review and oral presentation skills in a gallery walk style or you can have them simply present to the class as a whole. This activity is imbedded in my Chemistry Unit 6 Lesson Plan: The Periodic Table and the Periodic Law. Or, get the entire Chemistry Unit 6: The Periodic Table and the Periodic Law bundled unit! My students love this activity because it allows them to choose an element of interest to them and to be creative in their presentation of the information. I love this activtiy becasue students take responsibility and ownership in "peer reviewing" each others work.
