Description

Call of the Wild Project | Call of the Wild Activity | Call of the Wild Themes

This final project for The Call of the Wild asks students to illustrate their comprehension of the novel through some argumentative writing. The writing components of the project focus on the theme of the book and convincing a potential reader to read the book. Students also will learn the difference between a standard book summary and the sort of summary that would appear on a book jacket. There are other creative components of the project that provide a means for students to express their comprehension in alternate ways.

You'll receive:
A detailed lesson plan with rationale and instructions, a student handout for replication, and a rubric to use when grading the assignment.
